AFCAT Exam 2/2020- Eligibility criteria, Date

AFCAT exam is for the Air Force aspirants.  This exam is for both men and women to take admission in various courses of Indian Air Force to appoint the Officers in Flying and ground Duty. The ground Duty is further divided into Technical and Non-Technical Branches.

Application Form of AFCAT Exam 2020

  • Application form of AFCAT exam 2020 is already out and aspirants will be able to apply for the AFCAT till 14 july 2020. This means the validity of the application form is upto 14 july only. You can get to fill the form from here https://afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT/
  • First you need to click on CANDIDATE LOGIN >> AFCACT 02/2020 >> Start your Registration >> Begin filling your form.
  • COST for the form would be 250/-
  • Admit Card will be issued on 04-sep-2020.
  • Exam date is supposed to be on or between 19-sep-20 to 20-sep-20.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

  • Firstly, there will be AFCAT exam for all the candidates irrespective of the branch in which they are opting for.
  • Then there would be EKT exam for the candidates applying for technical ground duty.
  • Lastly, candidates after clearing the exam are required to clear the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB)

  • EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and

(a) Graduation with minimum three years degree with a minimum of 60% marks

(b) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) with a minimum of 60% marks

(c) Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

 

Ground Duty (Technical)

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University OR cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks

 

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognised University OR cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches Administration:

Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Education:

Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline.

 

  • MARITAL STATUS:

 

  1. Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of course.
  1. Widows/Widowers and divorcees below 25 years of age are also not eligible.
  2. Candidates who marry to the date of his application though successful at SSB or medical will not be eligible for training.
  3. Those who marry during the period of training will be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the government.
  4. Married candidates above 25 years are eligible to apply but during their training period, they will neither be provided married accommodation nor can they live with family.
