JEE Eligibility Criteria 2020

HRD minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal recently announced a big new news on Twitter about the eligibility of JEE(Advanced) due to partial cancellation of class XII exams by Boards, Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to relax the eligibility criterion for JEE(Advance) 2020 qualified candidates. Now all the students who have passed class XII examinations will now be eligible for admissions irrespective of marks obtained.

The eligibility criteria for JEE was minimum 75% marks in 12th Board exams or ranked in top 20 percentile in qualifying exams were avaliable.

But now, the admission criteria for IITs, have been relaxed and students no longer needs 75% in Boards. All the students who have passed class XII examinations will now be eligible for admissions irrespective of marks obtained.  This is due to the cancellation of some exams of board due to Covid-19. This was announced by HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Twitter. Qualified students who have passed 12th class examinations will now be eligible for admissions, irrespective of the marks obtained.
